Banaras Hindu University (BHU), founded in 1916 by Pandit Madan Mohan Malaviya, is one of the largest residential universities in Asia. Its campus in Varanasi houses institutes of science, medical sciences, agricultural sciences and management, along with faculties of arts, commerce, law and performing arts.
Most undergraduate and postgraduate programs admit students through CUET, while MBBS seats at the Institute of Medical Sciences are filled through NEET-UG.
