Techno India University, West Bengal (TIU) is a private university in Sector V, Salt Lake, Kolkata. It was set up in 2012 under a West Bengal State Legislature Act by the Techno India Group, describes itself as the first private university of West Bengal and is recognised by the UGC. TIU is a separate institution from Techno Main Salt Lake (TMSL), the group's MAKAUT-affiliated engineering college in the same area.
TIU offers B.Tech in Computer Science & Engineering, CSE (Artificial Intelligence), Computer Science & Business Systems, Electronics & Communication, Electrical, Mechanical, Civil and Biotechnology, along with BCA, BBA, B.Sc., an MBA in Innovation, Entrepreneurship & Venture Development, M.Tech and other programs.
