About Techno International New Town
Techno International New Town (TINT), formerly Techno India College of Technology, is a Techno India Group engineering college at Block DG 1/1, Action Area 1, New Town, Kolkata, near Rabindra Tirtha and the Biswa Bangla Gate. Established in 2005, it is approved by AICTE, affiliated to Maulana Abul Kalam Azad University of Technology (MAKAUT) and was accredited by NAAC in 2024.
TINT is one of the largest private engineering colleges in Kolkata, with 300 B.Tech CSE seats. It also offers Information Technology (180), Electronics & Communication (120), CSE (AI & ML) (120), CSE (Data Science), CSE (Cyber Security), CSE (IoT), Computer Science & Business Systems, Computer Science & IT, Electronics & Computer Science and Electrical & Computer Engineering (60 each), and AI & Data Science, Electrical, Civil, Mechanical and Applied Electronics & Instrumentation (30 each), along with 4-year BBA and BCA, MCA, MBA and M.Tech.
Techno International New Town fees follow the structure approved by the West Bengal Higher Education Department. Published figures for the full B.Tech range from about ₹5 lakh to ₹7.65 lakh depending on the branch, with CSE at the higher end; hostel is extra. Students from lower-income families can get a Tuition Fee Waiver (TFW) seat through WBJEE counselling.
B.Tech admission is through WBJEE or JEE Main ranks in WBJEEB counselling, and through JELET for lateral entry. BCA and BBA admit students through the MAKAUT CET, MCA through WB JECA, the MBA through JEMAT, MAT or CAT, and M.Tech through GATE or PGET. Because of its large intake, TINT CSE stays open to a much wider range of WBJEE ranks than Techno Main Salt Lake: in 2025 it closed close to rank 99,000 (General, All India) in the final round.
Placements: TINT reported 82% placement in 2024 with a highest CTC of ₹22 LPA and an average of ₹5 LPA, 83% in 2023 (highest ₹21 LPA, average ₹4.5 LPA) and 82% in 2022 (highest ₹32 LPA, average ₹5 LPA). Recruiters include Microsoft, Amazon, Intel, Bosch, SAP, L&T, TCS, Infosys, Wipro and Capgemini.
